Start with a lemonade stand. End with a space corporation. Business Empire is an idle tycoon that grows with you across ten tiers of progression, each unlocking new mechanics and challenges.
Your businesses need employees, inventory, and space to operate. Hire workers to boost efficiency, but watch the payroll. Stock inventory before it runs out, or watch your income dry up. Rent commercial properties or face space penalties that eat into your margins. Random events will test your resilience: fires, theft, lawsuits, product recalls, and employee drama all chip away at poorly-managed empires. Insurance exists for a reason.
Financial Markets
At Tier 2, the stock market opens. Two hundred companies across fifteen industries, each with procedurally generated names, tickers, and price histories. Stocks follow realistic patterns: moving averages, trend reversals, volatility tied to market cap. Industry ETFs let you bet on entire sectors, and holding shares in industries where you own businesses boosts your income.
At Tier 4, options trading unlocks. Call and put contracts with Black-Scholes pricing, Greeks displayed for every position. Delta, gamma, theta, vega, rho, implied volatility. Expiration dates, strike prices, in-the-money indicators. The option chain updates live as stock prices move.
A simulated Federal Reserve holds bi-monthly FOMC meetings, adjusting interest rates based on economic indicators. Rate hikes hammer real estate and finance stocks. Cuts boost growth sectors. Your loan rates and savings yields fluctuate accordingly.
Banking and Credit
Savings accounts earn interest. Loans let you leverage your net worth to accelerate expansion. Your credit score builds over time based on payment history and debt ratios. Better credit means better rates.
Real Estate
Lease storefronts to avoid space penalties, or at Tier 5, buy properties outright. Rent them to other tenants for passive income. Zoning codes determine which business types can operate where.
Multiplayer
Host or join lobbies where all players share the same stock market. Prices update identically for everyone. Trade against each other in real-time. Play blackjack together in the casino. Disconnect and reconnect without losing progress.
Deterministic Saves
