————————————————————————————————————————————————
Our planet is already at full capacity.
This is not a statement of natural geography,
but a diagnosis of society itself.
As old ways of life crumble
and cities exert their gravitational pull,
the land no longer fit for human habitation
has indeed continued to grow.
Behind the grandeur of industrial production
lies a factory line whose true product is waste—
be it the refuse that resists disposal,
or the surplus of those who are no longer required.
Yet, the land once thought vast enough to contain them
has vanished from this planet.
In response to this problem,
gravity was reversed.
Like the metabolism of a body,
we periodically export the by-products of modernity to the “outer world.”
So long as modernity remains a privilege,
this cycle will not cease.
And since that moment,
our souls have been driven away
by gravity.
Story Introduction
2006. Neuropa.
The world has been inverted.
Two hundred years have passed since the fall of the Roman Imperium.
Today, unemployment has become one of Neuropa’s most severe social crises. Without proper “resettlement,” society itself may collapse.
Not long ago, the Commune detected an extremely intense phase noise in the lower regions of the world. Any equipment exposed to deep-space conditions would completely fail within a short time. Researchers named this phenomenon the Decoherence Field, though its underlying mechanism remains unknown.
Amid anxiety and disorder, a wind called “nostalgia” swept across every corner of the world. People longed desperately to return to a time once believed to be whole.
As the future retreats together with the horizon,
the ghost of the Apocalypse is left behind down the sky.
It lingers alone, drifting and delaying—
unwilling, even now, to depart.
This game features both Normal Mode and Story Mode.
Normal Mode focuses on a classic roguelike experience.
Story Mode emphasizes narrative progression and introduces a unique save system exclusive to that mode.
Story Mode follows Karelia and her companions.
— The Commune has enacted a new Resettlement Act, forcing all unemployed citizens to relocate from Neuropa’s Middle Layer to the lower strata.
To avoid being placed on the Commune’s priority watchlist, they accept one of the few remaining jobs still open to outsiders in the Middle Layer:
working as outsourced couriers for the app “StillAlive?”.
Key Features
Surreal Worldview
The story unfolds in an inverted world where the sky and ground have traded places. Retro electronic illustrations and a distinctive writing style immerse you in a realm that is grotesque, absurd, terrifying — yet strangely humorous.
Exploration System
Blending exploration and survival, the game’s core loop is built around three systems: passive encounters, active discoveries, and goal-driven missions. One moment you may be ambushed by a rogue machine; the next, you’re scavenging a crashed starship brimming with resources — and clues to the world’s hidden truth.
Through these intertwined systems, the game seeks to simulate an unforgettable journey shaped by your choices and the events you encounter.
Combat System
Combat follows a tactical grid-based format, enhanced with an innovative “Reformed Turn-Based” mechanic — balancing strategic depth with real-time tension.
There is no fixed path of progression: players are encouraged to experiment freely with modules, weapons, and builds. Development outside of battle forms a major part of the gameplay loop.
Deep Build & Customization System
Freedom of construction lies at the heart of the game. Roguelike-style random enhancements coexist with crafting and progression systems that feature clear unlock conditions.
Tailor your strategy to your current modifiers or personal preference: overwhelm enemies with numbers, command an elite unit, favor mobility or formation tactics.
Technology, tactics, equipment, and aesthetic choices all determine the true strength of your forces.
