You are part of a three-person recovery crew working for a large corporation. Your job is to retrieve valuable objects from the ocean floor. You use an old and outdated submarine that has been modified for this mission. Together with up to three friends, you must control the submarine and survive the dangerous dive into the deep sea.
The submarine cannot be operated by one player alone. Players must communicate and work together to move through narrow underwater caves and avoid obstacles. Mistakes can easily lead to failure, so teamwork is very important.
The game takes place in one handcrafted level. The main goal is to find and collect multiple airplane black boxes that are spread across the ocean floor. As you go deeper, the environment becomes more dangerous. Visibility is limited, the caves are tight, and the submarine systems can fail, making the mission harder over time.
During the mission, players slowly learn more about the company that hired them and the consequences of the recovery operation. The ocean contains more than just wreckage, and some discoveries raise questions about what you are really sent to retrieve.
