Carcerem is a realistic first-person horror game. Enter the eerie corridors of an ancient labyrinth. Rumor has it that the cries of prisoners and a sound resembling a bull’s roar can often be heard from the labyrinth’s depths. Explore the maze to understand its design. The deeper you go, the more dangerous it becomes.
The main character is a convict sent to the labyrinth as punishment for a crime. He knows that whoever escapes from here will be pardoned, so he is ready to fight for his freedom despite the dangers lurking inside the labyrinth.
The labyrinth is a stone prison built centuries ago to hold prisoners. No one has ever managed to escape from it.
Thousands, or perhaps tens of thousands of prisoners have passed through this labyrinth over the centuries, but not a single one has escaped its walls.
Gameplay
Puzzle-solving. Unique puzzles, invented and constructed in the labyrinth centuries ago, will require careful study of their mechanisms. These puzzles have never been solved by anyone who could pass the solution outside the labyrinth.
Finding items and clues. For a prisoner, nothing is more valuable than an item or a clue that can help them navigate the labyrinth. Search for objects that will bring you closer to unraveling the maze's secrets.
Danger at every turn. You can’t simply relax inside the labyrinth. Around every corner might be a dangerous mutant or a trap.
Mysteries and Myths of the Labyrinth
How is it possible to escape the labyrinth? None of the newcomers knows how to leave this place. Is there even an exit, and what does it look like? This must be discovered by yourself.
Does the mutant, said to live permanently in the labyrinth, truly exist? Will the rumors from the outskirts of the maze about the bull’s roar be confirmed?
Is anyone else alive in this labyrinth among the other prisoners? This is a question every newcomer, including the protagonist, asks themselves. The unknown outcome of such a meeting is frightening.
