One year after his mentor's poisoning, renowned prosecutor Conrad Cross accepts a new case tangled in a web of conspiracy. In order to determine the true culprit, Cross and his opponent, Kate Flocking, engage in a battle of wits and piece together the incident by analyzing the available evidence.
