AshMans Zombies is a round-based zombie survival game developed for PC. Players defend against waves of zombies across multiple maps while collecting weapons and upgrades to survive longer rounds. The game supports both single-player sessions and multiplayer matches, with options for first-person or third-person perspectives and controller compatibility.
Gameplay
The core loop revolves around surviving successive rounds of zombie attacks on fixed maps. Weapons appear on walls for purchase or collection, and each map features a random weapon box that dispenses new firearms or tools. Players can perform melee attacks as a backup option and access pickups that boost weapon damage or provide other temporary advantages. Perks and powerups enhance survivability, while items such as buyable shields and grenades offer defensive and offensive tools during intense waves. An in-game chat system supports coordination in multiplayer. The experience emphasizes resource management and positioning as rounds increase in difficulty.
Game Modes
Round-based survival forms the primary structure, available in both solo and group play. Single-player allows focused practice on map layouts and upgrade paths, while multiplayer enables shared defense against larger zombie hordes. No separate competitive or story-driven modes appear in the current build, keeping focus on the survival format across the four included maps.
Maps and Progression
Four maps launch with the game, each designed for repeated playthroughs with distinct layouts that influence weapon placement and defensive strategies. Future updates will introduce additional maps along with missions, expanded perks, and new powerups at no extra cost. This ongoing content plan supports long-term engagement without requiring separate purchases.
Is It Worth Playing?
AshMans Zombies suits players who enjoy classic round-based zombie survival with straightforward mechanics and flexible viewing options. The free post-launch additions for maps and features provide ongoing value for those interested in indie titles that evolve over time. Availability on PC through the Epic Games Store makes it accessible for testing the core loop. Individuals seeking deeper customization or large-scale multiplayer may find the current scope limited, but the emphasis on survival fundamentals and upcoming expansions positions it as a solid choice for fans of the genre who prefer smaller-scale experiences.
