When is the Steam Winter Sale 2026?

The Steam Winter Sale usually starts around December 19-22 and runs until January 2-5. It's also known as the Steam Holiday Sale or Christmas Sale. Check this page for all deals once the sale is live.

Is the Winter Sale better than the Summer Sale?

Both sales offer similar discount depths. The Winter Sale often includes newer releases from the fall season that haven't been discounted before. Games released between July and December may see their first big discounts here.

Do Steam Winter Sale prices change during the event?

No. Since 2015, Steam sale prices are fixed for the entire duration - no more flash deals or daily deals. You can safely buy anytime during the sale. Compare with Steam key prices from keyshops for the best value.
