STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor is a single-player action-adventure game set in the Star Wars universe. Players control Cal Kestis as he navigates a narrative-driven experience filled with lightsaber combat, Force abilities, and planetary exploration on PC.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on fluid melee combat that combines lightsaber strikes with Force powers. Players switch between different stances during fights to adapt to enemy types and environmental hazards. Exploration involves traversing large interconnected areas across multiple planets, using abilities like wall-running, climbing, and jumping to reach new paths and hidden collectibles. Puzzle elements appear through environmental interactions that require specific Force techniques or platforming sequences. Combat encounters mix aggressive melee with ranged options and crowd control, encouraging players to learn enemy patterns and timing. The game emphasizes progression through skill upgrades that expand movement and attack variety over the course of the campaign.
Game Modes
The experience consists of a single-player campaign focused on story progression and open-area exploration. Players advance through linear story beats while freely roaming larger zones to complete objectives, discover secrets, and engage in optional combat challenges. There are no separate multiplayer or competitive modes. The structure blends directed narrative sections with periods of free movement that reward thorough searching and ability experimentation.
Exploration and Progression
Planets feature distinct biomes that encourage backtracking once new abilities unlock additional routes. Collectibles scattered throughout the environments provide resources for upgrades that improve health, stamina, and combat effectiveness. The progression system ties directly to story events, gradually introducing new Force powers and lightsaber customization options that alter how players approach both combat and traversal. Level design rewards observation and experimentation, with many areas containing multiple layers accessible only after certain milestones.
Is It Worth Playing?
Critics and players have responded positively to the improved combat depth and larger scale compared with the previous entry in the series. The PC version received patches that addressed initial performance issues, resulting in a more stable experience by late 2025. Reception highlights strong character work, level variety, and satisfying combat flow. Those who enjoy story-focused action-adventure games with emphasis on melee combat and exploration will find the campaign engaging from start to finish. The title remains available for purchase and continues to attract players years after launch, particularly those seeking a polished single-player Star Wars experience on PC.
