GTA Online: The Kortz Center Heist Is Out Now

GTA Online just got its first brand-new heist in more than five years. The Kortz Center Heist went live today, July 14, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The last time Rockstar shipped a proper new heist was Cayo Perico, back in December 2020. If you've been grinding the same finales ever since, this is the shake-up you've been waiting for.

Robbing a museum, the classy way

The target this time is the Kortz Center, Los Santos' premier art museum up in Pacific Bluffs (any resemblance to a certain Getty Center is fully intentional). Fun fact: the building has been sitting on the map since GTA 5 launched and nobody ever gave it a second look. Now it finally gets its moment. You team up with a mysterious collector called Mr. Faber and his fixer Raf De Angelis, and the plan is delightfully sneaky: instead of ripping everything off the walls, you commission a counterfeiter to paint forgeries, then swap the fakes for the real deal. If it all goes smoothly, the museum never even knows it was robbed. It won't go smoothly, obviously. It never does.

You can run the job solo or with a crew of up to four, with multiple approaches and escape routes, as heist tradition demands.

What you need before you start

One catch: the heist is planned from the Art Studio, a new extension for the Mansion properties. No Mansion yet? That's your first stop... and a serious dent in your GTA$ balance. On the technical side, title update 1.73 weighs around 1.9 GB on PS5 and 5.1 GB on Xbox Series consoles.

Car people get a treat too: the Grotti Veleno GT, a new Super class machine. GTA+ subscribers can grab it for free right now, everyone else can buy it in about a week.

The last big score before GTA 6?

Now for the bigger picture: GTA 6 lands on November 19 and pre-orders are already open, so this could very well be the last major GTA Online update of the GTA 5 era. Rockstar hasn't said it out loud, but the calendar speaks for itself. Almost thirteen years of the same game, and it might bow out with one last art heist? There are worse ways to go.
