Voice of the Ocean is the beginning of a single-player adventure where you will have to sing and swim. You will be a newborn mermaid, diving through ruins and looking for pieces of a long lost mural.Ā
In the game you will:
Sing to a living, handcrafted soundtrack.
Use your voice to navigate the depths. Sing the melodies of your lost civilization, brought to life through an original score composed exclusively for the game by Jaime Fenoy Aguilera.
You will have to hit the correct pitch using your voice, to charm fishes, move objects and sing the songs of the mermaids.
Explore an unique artistic atmosphere.
Dive into a forgotten world beneath the waves, with a traditional oil painting style brought to 3D. Swim through a vivid, impressionistic seascapes, poisoned by an uncertain past. You will be able to swim through ruins, buildings and areas reclaimed by nature.
Recover the fragments of a hidden legacy.
Part of the story of your people lies scattered across the deep. Unstructured and half-buried in a world that has forgotten it. Find the audio logs and the lost mural to reconstruct the past.Ā

This game was created over the course of 11 weeks by third-year bachelor students from Howest - Digital Arts & Entertainment, with the invaluable contribution of our original soundtrack composer, Jaime Fenoy Aguilera as well as our animator Maxine Desmet.
