Pick a fighter or six for each side, call the winner, and watch. Spearmen hold against riders, archers cut down the unarmoured, a cannonball skips through a whole line. Every unit has its own armour, reach, speed and the foes it was made to beat - so every fight is a question with an answer.
A war in twelve battles. Choose your hero and your banner, pull the lever to raise your host, and march down a painted road of fields, camps, shrines and sell-swords. Win spoils in the claw machine, buy and merge companies in camp, place them on the real field before every battle, and break the warlord in his own castle. Lose a field and you lose a banner; lose three and the war is over.
Up to twenty thousand a side. Horns sound, bowmen loose on the volley, the lines meet in a cloud of dust, and the camera finds the moments that matter. When an army's nerve breaks, it runs.
Paint armies with a brush. Drop a meteor, call down lightning, raise giants, and let the fallen rise as skeletons. Take hold of a single soldier and fight it out yourself.
A new battle every day with a score to beat, a ranked ladder, tournaments and drafts, a table of who beats whom, a codex of every unit, and 51 medals to earn.
Forge a unit - its look, its weapon, its numbers - and a battlefield tile by tile: rivers and bridges, walls and gates, hills and woods. Mod packs add units and fields of their own.
