Paddle Cats is a cozy local co-op fishing adventure about two cats sharing one boat.
Work together to paddle across the water, find promising fishing spots, cast your lines, and wrestle your catch back to the boat. Both players occupy the same boat and can paddle or fish at the same time, so every trip becomes an exercise in cooperation and occasionally complete chaos.
Share One Boat
Each player controls one of the two cats aboard the boat. Coordinate your paddle strokes to steer, fight against moving water, avoid rocks, and reach new fishing spots. You can work together carefully or accidentally crash your boat.
Fish Together
Aim and cast your rod, manage the line, and reel in fish with different sizes and behaviors. Hooking a fish is only the beginning: powerful catches can fight back, pull the boat through the water, and drag both players toward danger.
Protect Your Boat
Land, obstacles, strong currents, and unruly fish can damage the boat. Pay attention to your surroundings while fishing.
Choose What to Bring Home
Caught fish take up space in your shared cooler. Decide which catches are worth keeping before returning to camp.
A Cozy Cooperative Adventure
Paddle Cats combines relaxed exploration and fishing with physical, cooperative boat handling. It is designed as a controller focused couch co-op experience for two players playing together on one screen.
Early Access
The Early Access version includes the game’s core local co-op loop: paddling a shared boat, exploring the water, catching fish, managing your cooler, and returning with your catch. We plan to expand the experience during development with additional progression, NPC requests, unlockable items, fish, and environments.
