About No Bots Here

No Bots Here - about the game

No Bots Here is an indie casual multiplayer game on PC where players take on the roles of tiny Nanobots trying to complete objectives and escape while one Hunter pursues them across the map. The experience blends stealth, sabotage, and social interaction in matches that emphasize hiding, betrayal, and quick thinking under pressure.

Gameplay

Matches revolve around Nanobots exploring the environment to complete objectives, collect upgrades, and sabotage the Hunter's systems while gathering enough Codex to unlock an escape. Each Nanobot starts with a random class that provides a unique ability, such as becoming invisible while standing still, disguising as nearby objects, creating a clone to confuse the Hunter, or placing a teleport point for later use. These abilities can be upgraded during the match to improve survival chances.

The Hunter operates from a separate room and can activate a Monitor Link to view any Nanobot's camera feed at any time. Players notice when they are being watched and must decide whether to stare at a wall to conceal their position or redirect attention toward another player. Sabotaging generators around the map weakens the Hunter's tools and lengthens ability cooldowns, though doing so requires standing exposed near large objectives.

Random power-ups scattered throughout the map grant temporary effects. Some blast nearby players away, others force everyone in view to jump, and a few can be placed in the environment like a banana peel. These items support escape attempts, aid teammates, or disrupt plans. Voice chat adds another layer, allowing coordination, deception about the Hunter's location, or pleas to keep hiding spots secret.

Game Modes

The core experience consists of matches pitting one Hunter against multiple Nanobots in a shared map. Nanobots work toward collective and individual goals such as interacting with objects, collecting power-ups, upgrading classes, sabotaging generators, and completing special objectives. Enough Codex collected during these tasks opens a chance to escape, though escape pods may require some Nanobots to be caught first.

Every session mixes stealth movement, cooperative task completion, and opportunities for betrayal through camera manipulation or voice chat misinformation. The structure remains consistent across matches, with class selection and power-up placement introducing variety within the same framework.

Key Mechanics

Class abilities form the foundation of Nanobot strategy. CAMO rewards stillness for invisibility, PROP enables blending into the surroundings, CLONE creates decoys, and TELEPORT offers repositioning options. Upgrades during play enhance these tools as the match progresses.

Generator sabotage directly impacts the Hunter by reducing available systems and extending cooldowns on abilities. Objectives reward Codex, which accumulates toward escape opportunities, while power-ups provide short-term tactical advantages that can turn the tide in pursuit situations.

Voice chat integrates directly into gameplay, supporting both helpful coordination and deceptive tactics that heighten tension among players.

Is It Worth Playing?

The game suits players who enjoy casual multiplayer sessions focused on stealth, quick decisions, and social elements like misdirection. Matches reward creative use of classes and power-ups alongside awareness of when the Hunter might be watching through a teammate's view. Those drawn to lighthearted betrayal and cooperative escape attempts in short sessions will find the systems align with that preference. The indie casual approach keeps rules accessible while the random elements and voice chat create unpredictable outcomes each time.
