The BR Class 802 is part of the AT300 family which - since 2017 - has been established as the mainstay traction for long-distance services between England, Wales and Scotland. The Class 802 is a bi-mode variant, capable of running on overhead wires, or independently through its suite of underfloor diesel engines.
Great British Railways is a new, publicly owned, company, bringing track and train together to enable more passenger-focused planning and decision making. The launch of the GBR brand occurred on 9th December 2025 at an event at London Bridge, where the brand was first unveiled on a Class 802 playable in a TSW demo.
Now in Train Sim World, the Great British Railways Class 802 is ready for all to enjoy! Climb aboard a modern unit and take your first steps as a GBR driver across the iconic East Coast Main Line and Riviera Line, making good use of both electric and diesel mode operations. Run at break-neck pace between Doncaster and Peterborough, or take a scenic stroll along the Dawlish Sea Wall while, in both cases, displaying a new splash of colour as the distinctive red, white and blue iconography of the Union Jack flashes by.
Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: Riviera Line and/or ECML: Peterborough - Doncaster which are available as separate purchases.
