We're Getting Deeper Into The Abyss is a story-based game that focuses on the main character Frei Kay, an artist who creates through inspiration throughout the world around him. Sometimes, he tends to space out and the world changes around him. Creating what he calls in his journal the Abyss.
Follow along the story while you, the player can explore these special Abyss areas, these tell stories about who Frei Kay really is and what he tends to experience on a personal level.
Frei, an inspiring musical artist. Who tends to think about the little things a bit too much. Others consider him a gentle soul and quiet, while he would consider himself talkative. Yet, He'd describe himself as timid, though people see him always throwing himself into situations to please others if they are distressed, even if it stresses himself out. Being a well-known fellow around town, his goal was always to spread his musical voice.聽
What's The Features?
A rich story, with a unique world to explore. Multiple side stories with an opportunity to learn more about the world, and several different characters around you. All with different personalities. Take a break from the story and play a select few mini games around the town. Learn about the town you're in, go to the library and read some stuff, they may bring Frei into a creative state of mind!
A day and night system. Some side-objectives and characters can appear in the day or night. While this is frustrating in some other games, the day and night system is designed to be unique, fair, and overall, a different experience than others. Time skipping will be available and real-time. If the player has beaten every side-objective in the day, they can skip right to night by time-skipping.

Different art-styles are going to be presented in the game, such as in the Abyss, mini-games, and in the main area where Frei will journey through, the Town of Heaven, previously known as the Village of Rapture.
The world is meant to be explored, as you'll experience multiple emotions here. Comedic, fear, disgust, it goes on! The world is full of lovely things to do other than just the story.
The guitar Frei Kay carries guides you; players will earn multiple things throughout the game that will make playing more enjoyable. Such as higher jumping, running faster, getting onto higher things, y'know, fun stuff like that. Music is a powerful thing!

This is a passion project, the game has been in mind since 2017, just starting in 2023. Updates are going to go to the Steam Page/Discord. The art here is NOT final, these are all placeholders. Minimum System Requirements are speculated for now, but I'd say maximum could be wrong, I am using a 3060 and 5600x, and the game is over 140fps in all resolutions. Early development though. The game is being developed in 1080p, I'll be testing in all resolutions (1080, 2k, 4k.) I do not test in 8k, but if someone requests that they'd like me to optimize for 8k, I will absolutely dedicate my time for you. Let me know. Even Steam Deck testing. Further testing will be done down the line.聽
