They were never meant to exist under the same sky as the first operational steam engine, or watch the first biplanes claw their way through it.
And they certainly weren鈥檛 meant to witness their ancient forests reduced to ash by modern artillery systems and advanced autonomous drone swarms.
But two of them did.
In a sense, things are not so different from that legendary war all those years ago - the dragons are now mechanical, but they can still be felled. Instead of the hero himself, his 47th descendant has returned to fulfil his pledge. And behind them, yet another deeply flawed human kingdom to defend.聽
