Dante Jones is a college freshman with a bright future ahead. He’s a rising football star with a full athletic scholarship, decent grades, and a slew of fellow students vying for his friendship… but when Dante injures himself jumping from the balcony of a frat house, the experimental treatment he undergoes at the college clinic is anything but ordinary. Something visits him in the night… something with sharp fangs, luminous eyes, and a wicked smile.

Dante can’t explain it, but something inside him has changed. The sun burns, not only his eyes but his flesh. He’s hungry all the time. His senses are more acute, and the world feels brighter; louder.

Nick Torres knows exactly what’s happening. Nick, a deadbeat monster slayer living out of a trailer in the backwoods, has been on the hunt for a master vampire for the past ten years.
