PARESIS庐 II takes place within the same location as the first game but now you can freely roam the entire estate.
GAMEPLAY
Players will have to solve puzzles within each room to obtain keys for new locations. Each puzzle will usually center around the location your at. For example, if your in the Kitchen, you will have to solve a cooking puzzle. Furthermore, the game has a robust combat system where you will be able to fight several types of enemies with 3 weapons at your disposal. These weapons are the following: a lighter that allows you to see within dark locations but also has the ability, once upgraded, to stun enemies when you are hit by them, a pistol that can eliminate your enemies but later can serve as a way to slow down enemy movement when hit by pistol round, a shotgun which has similar capabilities as the pistol but a much larger window to hit targets so that aim is not needed. Enemies on the other hand, have ways to dodge players attacks and some will sprint much faster right towards you. Throughout the experience, you will see many different enemy types and they will have a unique twist on how you must eliminate. Shooting enemies will be a challenge considering you must shoot their heart, which can appear in numerous locations on their bodies. One could be located on the back, meaning players will have to think twice before taking them head on, or the heart could be on their head for a generic headshot approach. The real challenge of this experience, besides the difficult puzzles, are the boss fights. Boss fights will be one of the hardest parts of the game and will serve as a true task for the player to complete. It will be extremely important to complete the side quests throughout the game to make sure you are fully prepared. Side objectives will also be a huge part of聽Paresis庐 II. Side Quests will allow players to obtain multiple upgrades for equipment. Moreover, some of these side quests run deep and can also include unique boss fight encounters. Lastly, some of the challenge of聽Paresis庐 II is overcoming the horror. You will be faced with frightening situations throughout the game. Sometimes, you will be stalked in a dark room with only your lighter. You can't just shoot your way out every time. Overall, this will be a fun experience for those searching a new Survival Horror Thriller that is more grounded.
HARDCORE MODE
Hardcore Mode is back and harder then ever. This mode will be obtained after completing normal difficulty which will already be a challenge in itself. If you played聽Paresis庐 you will understand how difficult these games can be.聽Paresis庐 II is slightly more forgiving then the first installment, however, some parts of this title will step up the challenge even further. The reason why this sequel would be easier is because you will always save progress when you obtain items etc. However, when you are faced with a challenging boss fight, it will keep you from progressing unless you defeat it. STORY
Paresis庐 II picks off after the events of the first installment. However, the story has deepened and will provide many ways to experience the narrative. Side Quests, Radios, and even the Environments will tell the story. David, who is the son of Ryan, will be the main character. David has experienced so much torment already throughout his life and now is an FBI agent. Sadly he gets trapped in a world that will torture him further.
