New Meat is a fast-paced horror-comedy roguelite about burgers, monsters and dead-end jobs.聽 You play as Niko, the new hire at a remote burger establishment named Burger Site, and it's your job to keep the freezers stocked with meat for the hungry customers to munch on.聽 How do you do that?聽 Simple!聽 Just head down to the horrible sprawling flesh-dungeon underneath the building and blast a few of the roaming monsters into delicious meaty chunks!聽 Just make sure they don't take a bite out of you, first.
Survive five days of mayhem聽to earn your place as a permanent hire, and if you do really well, possibly even more.聽 Anything can happen in the Meat Dungeon, and there are lots of secrets to find...though you might not like what you see.
SO WHAT DOES THIS GAME HAVE?
Tons of builds!聽 With 120 equipment pieces, 36 legendary weapons, 50 game-changing magic curios, and a stat progression system that puts you in complete control of your character's growth, every run promises a unique and wild new build!
A unique progression system!聽 Some roguelites let you continually build up your stats between runs, while others are one-and-done.聽 New Meat combines these two formats in a unique way, taking place over five days and allowing you to build up your stats more and more with each passing day.聽 But, Day Five is the cutoff, and after that you're judged and start the whole week聽again.聽 It's a hybrid system that should appeal to every kind of roguelite fan!
Every stat counts!聽 Your character stats aren't just for fighting.聽 They help with dungeoneering, too!聽 Raise your Attack to more easily break open barrels and chests.聽 Raise your Defense to reduce damage from hazards, or your Agility to gain a chance to dodge them altogether.聽 Think Luck is useless?聽 Higher Luck gets you more AND BETTER loot from chests!
Permadeath?聽 Not exactly!聽 Death isn't the end in the Meat Dungeon.聽 No matter how well or poorly you do, you'll always be on track for one of the game's many endings.聽 There's just as much to see and learn in failure as there is in success, so take your lumps and accept your fate, whatever it might end up being.聽 (You still might want to avoid dying if you can help it, though.)
