Humanoid abominations are taking over a colony on a faraway planet. Are they mutants? Are they genetically modified experiments? Are they victims of a disease? Whatever their聽mysterious origins are, they are hostile.
鈥orde combat:
Destroy聽varying abominations in strategic order. You are fast and agile, but the strength required to swing your heavy sword leaves you聽immobile when attacking. Time your attacks聽carefully to prevent being overwhelmed and cornered.
鈥ody customization:
Replace body parts with cybernetic implants and enhanced, lab-grown organs to gain special abilities.
鈥eapon customization:
Perform four different attacks, which are determined by the way you build your sword.
鈥ynamic enemies:
The commonly-encountered base breeds of abominations have set behaviors you can study, but as the game progresses, they gain the ability to merge, birthing horrifying monsters with inherited and enhanced strengths.
鈥ampaign:
There is a short linear storyline in the start of the game, which serves as an introduction to the world and character objectives. It consists of speaking with characters (no dialogue options; you press a button to get the next line), the player character commenting and speaking outside of conversations (text above the head), memories, item descriptions, and unlockable lore.
A final boss marks the end of the game, with an optional new game plus afterwards. The new game plus makes combat more challenging, but doesn't make changes to the story.
鈥etting:
Armed with a strange sword, an聽unannounced colony guest just joined one of the security teams. Together, they are rescueing survivors. Let's hope the evacuation vessels arrive soon... because something else is also coming.
