These blackouts get fixed quickly, but rumors spread faster. Something bad is afoot, and you have to keep these rumors at bay. But they're not untrue. The World Tree, which feeds virtually everything in this world, right down to the portals through which you can no longer return home, has been struck by an unknown disease and is infecting the creatures around it, making them aggressive.
