The Qu overwhelmed the human worlds with artificial viruses, diseases and creatures biologically designed to kill.
After your ship is shot down attempting to escape into space, you find yourself alone in city ruins, and must survive as long as possible against endless waves of Qu bioweapons / creatures.

Ferals -聽The Qu created a lot of artificial diseases to cripple Humanity. One such disease they mass deployed attacks the brain creating intense feelings of unbearable pain that can only be relieved by attacking another human, essentially turning infected people into feral beasts that do nothing but mindlessly attack anyone they see to stop the tremendous amount of pain they are in.
Warriors -聽Those who resisted the Qu were punished. Like the Colonials, The Warriors are once human who were captured by the Qu and genetically modified into blobs of flesh with a singular eye. They had their weapons they died with surgically attached to their head. the Qu remotely control them with chips in their brains and then force them to attack their own and they can only control their eye and do nothing but watch, suffer and attack their own.
Slammers - These humanoid monsters are paired with a club like hand that in combination with their powerful legs, launch into the air towards targets and slam the ground dealing massive damage. The few slammers who were killed by the star people and studied were found to contain human DNA.聽
Qrex -聽The Qu had visited Earth long before humans came around. They had a fascination with the dinosaurs and tinkered with their DNA often and scattered them onto different planets. The Qu still had dinosaur DNA available and in their twisted sense of humor, they decided to create a dinosaur like creature and mass deploy it on the worlds of the Star People for entertainment. They wanted to see would the old rulers of earth be able to combat the new ones?
Currently you can only play as the Star People.
The game originally planned to allow players play as the Qu or the Star People, unfortunately this large feature of the game had to be put on hold for later.
It was decided to finish the game with just the Star People being playable and to add the Qu as a playable species later, if there was enough demand from players wanting the update. If you would like to see the Qu update, please let me know!
The game initially begun development with creating the Qu and Star People alongside each other but that proved to be difficult to manage, so the focus was put on a singular species. The footage above is super early prototype footage from the early development days that showcase the Qu's prototype to help give a sense of what playing as the Qu could possible look like if they are added in the later update. They wielded weapons in their tails and used them to directly kill and to also spawn organisms that would fight for them.

The All Tomorrows Game brings the book to life by giving it a virtual world and gamifying the war held between Humanity and the Qu in their reckless pursuit of remaking the universe in their image.
