GAMEPLAY ELEMENTS
THE SENTINEL is a single-player first-person immersive sim that blends survival horror and puzzle mechanics. As you venture deeper into the island, you'll need to complete various objectives to survive and ultimately escape. You have multiple options at your disposal, but you'll also face environmental challenges along the way.
Weapons and Tools: Craft tools using resources you gather from the environment. These tools and weapons will make survival easier and allow you to defend yourself. easier and allow you to defend yourself: electric mines, sound devices to distract enemies, torches, gas lamps and more.
Special Necklaces: Discover rare necklaces scattered throughout the island. Though difficult to find, wearing them grants you special abilities. However, you can still progress without them.
Go Stealth or Be Violent: Choose between stealth and aggression. You can move through shadows and dark areas unnoticed, or employ your strategy and risk being chased by Sentinels. Utilize parkour, solve puzzles, and use your crafted weapons to outmaneuver enemies.
Bosses, Enemy Soldiers and Civilians: Sentinel soldiers are on the lookout for you across the island! If they catch you, it’s game over. Additionally, you’ll encounter formidable bosses like Ceifador, who relentlessly pursue you. They are fast, powerful, and nearly unstoppable, so hiding or escaping is crucial. Civilians may seem harmless, but if they perceive you as a threat, they can alert the soldiers by screaming or reporting your location. Stay vigilant!
Traps: The island is littered with traps—some natural, others constructed by the Sentinels. Beware of sound traps that emit loud noises, as well as dangerous traps that can harm you. Always be aware of your surroundings.
