Lancia in un gameplay action-strategy rilassato in cui piloti un Rover per costruire fabbriche, gestire risorse e posizionarle con astuzia per guadagnare un vantaggio tattico. Le fabbriche generano minion che attaccano e distruggono le strutture nemiche, portando alla vittoria eliminando la base avversaria. Le partite durano da 5 a 20 minuti in ambienti vari come un arido pianeta Marte, un mondo di ghiaccio gelido o terreni muschiosi, tra esplosioni spettacolari su 17 mappe. Il multiplayer locale supporta fino a 8 giocatori in squadre da massimo 4 Rover ciascuno, con AI per battaglie co-op, passaggio di squadra e avversari di riempimento. La modalità Campagna aumenta la difficoltà in circa 2 ore da soli o in co-op, mentre la modalità Battaglia permette di personalizzare impostazioni come la robustezza della base e l'intelligenza dell'AI. Steam Remote Play consente sessioni online. Questo indie è perfetto per chi cerca divertimento rapido e rigiocabile con gli amici davanti a uno spuntino.


If you are up for a casual yet spicy cocktail of action and strategy, but not planning to spend hours learning how to play, then Rover Wars might just be your thing.

You jump straight into the action with your little Rover to start building factories and hurting enemy units. The tactics in the game are in resource management and the placement of factories. Factories poop out minions that will find their way to the enemy facilities and destroy them. Once you destroy the enemy base, you win. simple.




Rover Wars has a neat local multiplayer system. It allows up to 8 users to join the game. To avoid couch conflicts we implemented some brilliant AI to battle cooperatively. There are always 2 teams and each side has a maximum of 4 Rovers. During battle, players can even switch teams or add some AI.


Rover Wars has a campaign mode and a battle mode. The campaign mode will keep the average player busy for about 2 hours. Instead of providing a deep story, the campaign focuses on challenging you incrementally. You can play the campaign in co-op too.

Besides the campaign there is also the battle mode. This allows you to battle in one of the 17 instantly available maps and tweak many settings such as base strength and AI intelligence.

• Online play? Yes, We integrated Steam Remote Play. With a decent internet connection it works very well.

An average match takes about 5 to 20 minutes depending on the amount of players and the AI level. The game has good replay value and is good fun to play with a bag of crisps and a few beers. If you would play the campaign with a friend the total man hours of fun would sum up to 4 hours. That means you paid about the same for a few drinks and the crisps as for the game... unless you live in Finland.
