Truck Town started as a small passion project—a dad building a game for his 3-year-old son. Like many curious toddlers, his son loved watching him play video games but struggled to find a game designed for someone his age. Everything out there was either too complicated or meant for older kids. Most games don’t really start being accessible until age 6 and up.
So, this dad decided to build it himself. Using Unreal Engine, he created a simple prototype in just 24 hours. His son tried it—and immediately loved it. That quick experiment turned into Truck Town—a completely safe, single-player experience made specifically for toddlers and young kids aged 3 and up.
In Truck Town, your child drives a friendly truck using just the left joystick, making it the perfect way to introduce young players to using a controller. The game also supports keyboard input. Pressing any of the A, B, X, Y buttons (or keyboard keys) triggers fun, safe effects like silly horns or colorful sparkles.
Along the way, kids can drive through and collect floating spheres with numbers, colors, and animals—each one voiced out loud to encourage learning. There are no other players, no enemies, no failure states, no ads, no microtransactions—just a fun, relaxing space for kids to explore.
