William starts as a typical college student who sleeps late, skips classes, hangs out with friends, and hesitates to approach Jasmine from the theater committee. Lately, a strange unease grips him, pulling him away from others into isolation and dark, hidden thoughts. He begins to see his city, university, and island home as false constructs that block true history, pushing him to dismantle them. This free-to-play indie visual novel on PC explores the crumbling psyche of an immature mind through narrative progression. Players advance the story with spacebar inputs and access menus via escape, with fullscreen toggled by Alt+Enter. It draws in fans of introspective adventure tales focused on mental unraveling.

At first glance, William is a lazy college student. He spends his days sleeping in, skipping lectures, drinking with his friends and gathering up courage to talk to Jasmine, who's on the theater committee. But over the last few weeks, a mysterious restlessness has come over him. He's distanced himself from his friends, spends his time alone in his room and harbors thoughts that cannot bear the light of day . . .

Slowly, William is coming to the realization that the world he lives in is no more than an illusion. The city, the university, the artificial island upon which he lives, they're unnatural abominations against humanity, that need to be undone in order for history to take its due course.

The Raintime is a freeware visual novel about the psyche of the undeveloped mind. In September 2019, we released a short story version of the game in early access mode. The full game is online from June 2020.
