The Hour of the Rat - about the game

Three ninjas set out to assassinate the emperor during the hour of the rat. Pick one ninja to start, relying on their unique strengths, and switch to others upon death in this indie action game. Choose your play order carefully, as you lose all items when you die and must decide whether to grab them now or save for the next run. Master movement with arrow keys to run, jump, duck, and defend, while spacebar handles kicks, sword strikes, and star throws. Switch weapons with shift, tab, or ctrl, and activate scrolls using Z or X. Unlock hidden techniques like double jumps off lanterns, enemies, or projectiles, plus skid jumps after quick dashes-perfect for quick 1-2 hour sessions that demand precise ninja selection and strategy.

shift/tab/ctrl - switch between sword and throwing stars
Z - use scroll
X - use secondary scroll
