STILL BOUND is a short, story-driven first-person psychological horror game focused on atmosphere, tension, and environmental storytelling.
You arrive alone in a forest to scout a campsite before your friends arrive. What begins as a quiet walk and a simple camp setup slowly turns into a nightmarish search through abandoned paths, locked gates, and places that feel wrong. As night falls, the forest changes — and something begins to follow you.
This is a linear, focused horror experience built around immersion rather than combat. You are not a fighter. Your goal is to survive, keep moving, and find a way forward while piecing together what happened in the forest.
What to expect
• First-person exploration horror with a slow-burning buildup and escalating tension
• Narrative progression through gameplay
• A stalking supernatural threat that becomes more aggressive as the game progresses
• Minimal UI with Inner Thoughts that react to events and locations (with multiple variations between playthroughs)
• Environmental storytelling through level design
• Flashlight-based survival pressure in later sections (limited safety, not combat)
• Positional audio-driven scares and guidance, including distant impacts, movement, and environmental changes
• No weapons, no traditional combat — movement, awareness, and timing are your only tools
Gameplay structure
The experience begins with daylight exploration and camp preparation, then shifts into a darker and more hostile phase after a violent encounter. From that point on, the player must move deeper into the forest, navigate narrow routes and landmarks, and respond to a growing threat while the environment becomes less readable and more oppressive.
Content notes
STILL BOUND contains psychological horror themes, non-graphic violence, blood, and a brief choking/strangulation sequence.
Developer note
STILL BOUND is the first game from a solo developer, built with a strong focus on atmosphere, pacing, and handcrafted environmental tension.
