Pandemic Express - Zombie Escape - about the game

Up to 20 players spawn in a large open world where one starts randomly infected. Humans loot gear from abandoned houses, cooperate with teammates, and fight zombies using any weapons at hand while racing to escape on a train amid endless hordes. Zombies respawn instantly wherever they choose, hunt down hiding humans, and spread infection to wipe out the team. This standalone zombie escape game blends massive multiplayer action with indie co-op chaos in a post-soviet ghost town. Players form ad-hoc teams, commandeer vehicles, and navigate a distinctive art style packed with tension. Fans of large-scale zombie mods and open-world shooters crave this high-stakes hunt-or-escape loop.



Welcome to Pandemic Express - Zombie Escape! We've played a lot of Zombie Escape-style mods, and wanted to make something standalone, and on a large scale. Up to 20 players spawn in a large world. One of them gets randomly infected, and has to spread the infection turning everyone into zombies. The human players desperately try to escape on a train through an onslaught of what seems like endless zombie hordes.

Imagine CS zombie mod infused with the DNA of a large-scale open world shooter, set in a post-soviet ghost town. And trains. We like trains.

Playing as a Human

  • Loot: Find gear in abandoned houses
  • Cooperate: Work with teammates to survive
  • Fight: Kill zombies with anything you have

  • Resurrect: Respawn instantly at the location of your choosing
  • Hunt: Find the humans hiding around the map
