Drink is a short, top-down 2D narrative game about alcohol dependence, routine, and the moment where the excuses stop working.
You play as Drink — a former teacher now drifting through a small, indifferent town. The world continues around you. You are not the centre of it.
There are three places to go:
The Pub
The Hotel Cocktail Bar
The Cabaret
Each one reflects a different story you tell yourself.
Drinking helps — briefly.
It restores you in the moment.
But it also makes everything else worse.
There is no branching redemption path.
There is no heroic ending.
There is only the morning after.
Features
A focused, single-sitting experience
Top-down pixel art world with reactive NPCs
Three themed dungeons representing habit, rationalisation, and escapism
A restrained narrative told through implication and sparse dialogue
A fixed ending centred on accountability, not recovery
Content Note
Drink explores themes of alcohol dependence, shame, and emotional avoidance. It is not a recovery simulator and does not contain graphic depictions of violence or substance use, but the subject matter may be confronting.
