The game is based on an alternate apocalyptic scenario within the SCP universe. The world has fallen into chaos. As humanity struggles to survive, the SCP Foundation has mobilized all its resources to combat the growing threat of anomalies. However, there aren't enough personnel to reach every single one.
You and a select few are deployed under a secret program known as the 'Scavenger Project'.
Your mission: Track down rogue anomalies, secure them, and survive.
Despite its military and scientific might, the Foundation is overwhelmed. Lacking the manpower to respond to every threat, a new offer is made to former Foundation office staff, warehouse workers, and security guards:
Survive, and you’ll be rewarded.
For each gameplay session, 2 to 4 missions are randomly offered. Players choose one to undertake.(One mission always contains a Main Story Objective and is marked in a different color.)
Missions include a mix of interiors, outdoor zones, natural hazards, and layered threats.
Though they may appear structurally similar, the content, progress routes, and events are procedurally generated every time.
Progression, Looting, and Equipment Management
During missions, players collect anomalous items, documents, and materials which can be returned to the base. The Foundation pays in advance for delivered items. These resources are used to:
Purchase new weapons and vehicles
Acquire special items for missions
Upgrade character abilities
Players can carry limited gear during missions, but vehicles allow for two extra backup items, giving more flexibility in the field.
Deep Narrative and Ethical Choices
What starts as simple recovery missions slowly unravels the Foundation’s hidden secrets.
Who really makes up the Scavenger teams? What are the true goals of the missions?
Why are some anomalies being intentionally ignored?
Through documents, logs, and character dialogues, players uncover the ethical gray areas of the SCP Foundation.
Some missions require moral decisions that shape the outcome of the story and the world.
Enemies Aren’t Just Anomalies
Mission zones are not only occupied by escaped SCP entities. Human threats also exist:
The Chaos Insurgency, seeking to weaponize anomalies for their own gain
Raider groups, patrolling zones to loot valuable materials
Other Scavenger Teams (NPCs), sent for the same mission, potentially becoming rivals
Each mission contains dynamic conflicts, unexpected events, and risks that demand strategic thinking and fast decisions.
High Replayability
Scavenger Project offers fresh experiences with each playthrough thanks to dynamic mission structures, rare region systems, and inter-mission interactions.
Access to rare zones may require special items from previous missions.
Randomly found documents, gear, or materials can drastically alter the course of another mission.
Some mission outcomes trigger new quests or unlock different narrative paths.
