About Mycubium

Mycubium - about the game

In a surreal world of ruin and shadow, your only tools are mushrooms, movement, and your mind.

Mycubium is a serene yet challenging first-person puzzle adventure about growth, connection, and the quiet resilience of life. You play as an unknown being tasked with navigating a broken, otherworldly landscape—one bridge, one spore, one glowing mushroom at a time.

Each color of mushroom grows a bridge in a specific direction. With careful placement and strategic use of the environment, you’ll reconnect the forgotten paths of a once-vibrant world. As you explore deeper, new mechanics evolve: rotating platforms, diagonal bridges, teleportation, and more. Every level is a hand-crafted puzzle that teaches through play—no hints, no hand-holding, just intuition and experimentation.

What begins as a simple act of connection becomes something deeper. You’ll build bridges through ruin, confront shadowy fears, and ultimately decide what kind of life takes root after collapse.

Key Features:

  • Spatial Mushroom Puzzle Platforming

Place mushrooms on white cubes to grow vibrant directional bridges. Solve puzzles using jumping, stacking, sticking, and color-aligned logic.

  • A meditative narrative

Told through atmosphere, environment, and parable-like insights—no dialogue, minimal exposition.

  • Exploration & Secrets

Discover multiple pathways, hidden collectibles, and platforming challenges. Use switches to open doors or trigger lasers to unlock new areas.

  • A Journey Through Time

Experience a full day/night cycle across four levels. Each stage represents a new hour in this world’s slow reawakening.

  • Minimalist soundscape and ambient score

A calming, immersive audio experience designed to support reflection and focus.

  • Handcrafted environments

Each level is a ruined fragment of a lost world waiting to be reconnected through your actions.

  • Nonlinear Solutions

Many puzzles have more than one solution. Find your own approach using intuition, creativity, and physics-based exploration.

Grow bridges. Explore the unknown. Choose what to leave behind.
