In one of the ancient, long-abandoned palaces of Saint Petersburg, a secret organization known as Nostra Edemas operates. Using a unique technology called the Chronotron—said to be created at the crossroads of magic and science—their agents can travel through time to deliver justice to "deviants," the most dangerous murderers of the past: both infamous and those whose crimes history has kept hidden.
Cradle of Nightmares is the first episode of an enthralling franchise with an original setting and unique atmosphere.
You will play as Vasily Beynar, a chronagent of the secret Nostra Edemas organization. Your mission is to travel back in time to locate, neutralize, and bring judgment upon the "deviants," whose heinous acts must be exposed and avenged. You will find yourself in a serial killer’s lair, exploring locations, finding items, and solving puzzles.

At certain moments, the killer experiences a psychotic episode. The location plunges into complete darkness, and the killer begins to move chaotically through the house, hunting for you. Will you survive this nightmare?
