Overview
Welcome to Hollow VR, wherein you, an unnamed protagonist, find yourself trapped in The Temple, a fantasy world with several varied layers. You are accompanied by the spirit of an ancient hero, whose name you now bear: The Hollow. Along the way you will meet, fight, and befriend the characters that inhabit each layer, from a lowly pair of watchmen to the king of The Temple himself. You must use your physical body to dodge attacks in the thrilling turn-based combat system, as well as perform the correct motions to cast spells against your opponents! Chapter 1 will be released on the launch of the game, while the other two planned chapters will be released as free updates once their development has been completed.
Story

In Hollow VR, you, a human from a small New Hampshire town, find a magical mask in the forest behind your house, and beyond that, the hidden entrance to The Temple, an ancient and sacred world consisting of varied environments. Using the mask as a key, you enter The Temple, finding yourself in the uppermost layer of The Temple: Sanctuary. There, you meet The Priest, an elf who explains two things: firstly, that you cannot leave The Temple by any means except touching the sacred Beacon at the bottom layer of The Temple, and secondly, the nature of the mask: it is imbued with the spirit of an ancient hero, The Hollow, and all those who wear the mask take on their name and gain their powers. Donning the mask, you gain the ability to see magical echoes, as well as the ability to use magic yourself. The Priest teaches you how to cast your first spells and guides you to the Ancient Plains, the first true layer of The Temple.
Exploring the Ancient Plains, you come across the Brothers, Aegnar and Zegnar, a pair of bickering birdfolk twins. Aegnar is viciously loyal to the Ruined Lord, who rules over the first two layers of The Temple, while Zegnar is a radical revolutionary who seeks to overthrow the Ruined Lord. Why do they work together? Because they're brothers, of course! Throughout the Ancient Plains, Aegnar places various puzzles and traps in your way in an attempt to capture you and deliver you to the Ruined Lord. However, there is not just hostility in the Ancient Plains. Lone houses dot the landscape, while a village lies deep within the forest, where you meet with Zegnar and plan to confront his brother. Soon you come to a final standoff between you and the Brothers, where you are forced to battle Aegnar. When he is defeated, you may choose to kill him or spare him, and your decision will have consequences...
Whether you choose to kill or spare Aegnar, you proceed into the Castle, where stronger enemies lie in wait. They whisper of a Knight of great power who resides within the castle walls, a Knight you must confront as you find your way to the throne room. A great battle ensues, and again you are given the choice to spare or kill your foe, and once again your actions will decide the fate of The Temple.
Descending past the throne room, you enter the second layer of The Temple, the Dungeon. A complex maze of intersecting hallways filled with dangerous enemies, the Dungeon is not to be underestimated. The Ruined Lord lies in wait for you in the true throne room, but to get there you must survive ancient traps and solve devious puzzles. There are few safe spaces here, and you'll find that the characters you meet have long since lost their sanity to the endless labyrinth. Finally facing the Ruined Lord, you must stay determined to overcome his might. If you manage to defeat him, your past actions will determine what happens to the people of the Ancient Plains & the Dungeon. Having defeated the Lord, you continue your journey, descending into the waves of the Bastard Sea...

Gameplay
Almost every prop in Hollow VR in interactable, either as a static object with flavor text, or a physical item you can pick up.Â
Hollow VR takes full advantage of VR's immersive qualities, with environments crafted to pull you into the game's world.
Combat requires physical movement, as you must dodge attacks with your body. You must also use specific gestures in order to use attack, healing, and utility spells.
Puzzles laid out along the way will require you to use VR interactions and physics to proceed.
