Sobre War Mechanic

War Mechanic - sobre el juego

What if WWII never really ended? In War Mechanic, the world’s greatest war drags into the 50's. With the Nazis gone, old Allies turn into new enemies, fueling a conflict driven by profit and power. Jack Wallace, a sharp-witted gun-for-hire, finds himself entangled in this mess. He is sent to reopen a rundown military base on the isolated island of Nordhook - deep within contested territory. Soon, it becomes clear to him that this is not an ordinary island, and this assignment will not be a piece of cake.

Explore the open-world environment of Nordhook Island, beautifully recreated with Unreal 5 and Lumen technology, scavenge for resources, craft weapons and tools, manage energy, and fight your way through dozens of rogue enemies while uncovering the island’s turbulent past.

Nordhook Island is beautiful! It boasts lovely sandy beaches and a picturesque lighthouse standing tall above the blue ocean. It would be a great holiday spot if not for the automated walking spider mines, rogue sentry robots, and air rides by crazy commies dropping even more automated kamikaze robots!

We left plenty of locations for Jack to discover, from abandoned base facilities to secret underground bunkers, old closed mines, and wrecks of military equipment scattered throughout, all created with the best Unreal Engine 5 and Lumen technology, high-resolution models, and attention to detail.

Nordhook is divided into several distinct regions with increasing difficulty. You’re free to pursue objectives in an open-world fashion or follow the larger storyline that slowly reveals the secrets of every corner of the island.

Energy is one of the absolutely core mechanics in War Mechanic. Without it, you won’t expand your base, power your workshop, craft new tools, or complete contracts. Every single action you take inside the base consumes energy. Even placing an automated defense turret requires not only materials, but also the energy needed to build it - and to keep it running afterward.

The blaster is a technological marvel of these grim times - a tool capable of melting down almost any metal into usable parts. It allows you to repair crucial components of your vehicle during expeditions, often making the difference between survival and failure. It’s also how you extract coal, especially important early in the game when you’re still fighting for a stable energy supply.

You’ll find several weapon types in the game, each distinct enough to fit a different playstyle or counter specific enemy types. Weapons can also be modified. Enemies will often operate in groups. Some hordes will focus on attacking your vehicle directly, while smaller squads will be more diverse in behavior. At the end of many challenges, a boss will be waiting - a demanding opponent with both weaknesses and strengths you’ll have to identify and exploit.

Contracts are your main source of income. They’re varied, but intentionally straightforward – the goal is for you to decide how to manage your time, energy, and resources. Smart planning will make you richer, help you expand the base, and unlock new infrastructure that consumes not only materials, but also cash.

A failed nuclear test reshaped global politics, pushing the USSR and USA into another all-out war. Inspired by real historical figures, such as General George Patton, and concepts like the G.I. BillWar Mechanic delivers a gripping story with conspiracies lurking beneath the surface.
