Magic Array Defense is a strategy tower defense game built around Magic Arrays. As a master of both arrays and puppets, you travel across realms to defend lands from monster invasions.

Arrays: Your Tactical Foundation
Each placed Magic Array defines an area and applies a unique mechanic. The game features twelve Primal Arrays. Within each, you can freely position Rune Blocks and equip different Array Runes to grant stat bonuses to puppets inside—or even enhance the array’s core effect—allowing you to create custom variants.
For example: build a compact “Slay Array” focused on high stat amplification, or design an expansive “Bind Array” that uses wide-area Rune Blocks to funnel enemies into a deadly loop.
Rune Blocks: Shape the Battlefield
Rune Blocks are impassable tiles that you can freely place within any Magic Array. Rune Blocks from multiple arrays interact across the map—by strategically arranging them, you can guide, split, and redirect monster paths into your kill zones.
Puppets: Your Primary Defenders
Puppets are your deployable combat units with multiple upgradable stats. Place them within a Magic Array to gain its bonuses; position them in overlapping array zones to stack multiple buffs. With proper synergy, a single puppet can dominate entire waves of enemies.
Runes: The Key to Progression
Runes come in two types: Array Runes and Puppet Runes—the core items for enhancing your arrays and puppets. Top-tier runes grant powerful stats and unlock special mechanics, enabling you to tackle higher difficulties.
Ancient Forbidden Array: Ultimate Power
Every map hides an Ancient Forbidden Array. When your placed arrays meet specific conditions, you awaken this ultimate power—unleashing a devastating effect capable of turning the tide of battle.
Maps: Endless Strategic Challenges
Each match features a procedurally generated map with unique terrain layouts. Certain arrays trigger bonus effects on specific terrains, ensuring every run presents a fresh strategic challenge that tests your array-placement mastery.
Enhancement: Craft Your Unique Runes
Both Array Runes and Puppet Runes can be enhanced. By allocating resources wisely, you can deliberately craft one-of-a-kind runes and build a truly unique array system.
