An Island Overrun by Cosplayers
I’m Princess Rhea. And what I’m about to tell you is the truth.
One perfectly ordinary afternoon, I was enjoying "Crime and Punishment" in our garden (yes, I read complicated books because I'm cultured), when I heard my mother shout: "Princess Rhea Dimaculangan! You forgot to turn off the rice pot again! Now it's all burnt! What should we feed your father? Burnt rice?! REEEEE!"
My mother is a kind woman and she loves me very much, but when she uses my full name, Princess Rhea being my first name, she means business. Not a princess? Uh-uh, but my grandfather tells me I'm like a princess, so there's that. My grandpa's first name is King Rhoam, by the way.
So there I was, cleaning burnt rice like a responsible island princess who totally didn't panic and google "how to fix burnt rice" earlier.
And that's when it happened.
The Invasion of the Cosplayer Society
The sky turned dark.
The wind whispered ominously.
Someone played a dramatic anime opening theme in the distance.
The Cosplayer Society invaded our island of Koral.
They forced everyone into cosplay. EVERYONE.
Grandmothers, toddlers, fish vendors, even the barangay captain.
And me?
They made me dress like that woman from a popular film!
Yes. HER.
The buns were heavy. The robe was itchy.
10/10 would not wear again.
A New Hope (That Would Be You.)
So I ran to the shores of Koral, sand flying around like I was in a budget movie trailer. And there I saw… you, the future hero.
I held your hands dramatically and said:
“Help me, oh noble one. You’re my only hope.”
You listened to my plea, even though I was a stranger with weird hair and an even weirder request. The cosplay parade was getting closer. I could hear the theme music.
And because you’re nice (and probably have nothing better to do), you agreed.

Seven out-of-control cosplayers with too much budget, too much ego, and too many special effects.
Your mission?
Beat them all in glorious, retro-style Lnx Battles.
Just like traditional monster battles, except:

No crits
No excuses
Just pure skill, like a chess match but everyone is yelling.
