Metanoia is a short narrative-puzzle game.Â
You guide geometric shapes through a series of grid-based puzzles.
The game evolves like chess - first tactics are learned, which then can be made into strategy as the puzzles combine different concepts to grow in complexity. There are only two mechanics:Â
Activate a shape - the filled in shape is activated, and can push and pull shapes attached to its sides.
Move a shape - only shapes attached to the activated shape can be moved
Different shapes provide introduce new utility, which increases both options and complexity.Â
Between puzzles, a minimalist story unfolds through brief moments and dialogue. The narrative explores the abstract and unassuming world the shapes exist in. There's a twist in the puzzles, if you are worthy enough to reach it.Â
Features:
20 levels designed for a 2–3 hour experience
A minimalist story woven into the gameplay
No fail states — retry puzzles freely and use optional hints to progress.Â
