Mage on the Move is a roguelike like game where you complete runs through robot infested levels to see how many runs you can complete. Who knows if there is a limit to how many runs.Â
What is a Run?
A Run is a sprint around the oval shaped map that abuses a thing called combinatorial explosion to create a randomized map. there is a potential of roughly 1.162E28 maps or a estimated 11,622,614,670,000,000,000,000,000,000 potential maps.Â
In game shops
Dong Shop
We were in a call during development and had asked Matt a question "hey, what is the funniest type of currency you can think of?" to Matts response the mighty Vietnamese Dong was brought in to the game! as you complete your runs you will collect this currency to purchase level upgrades and potions to support your runs. some of the level upgardes include safe rooms to buy potions, a lottery room to gamble for more dong, and more.
Skills shop
There are plenty of basic skills to unlock and level. Most of the skills max out at 99 but you will likely never reach that high of a level. as players who play Runescape growing up know "half way is level 92". There are also other skills like orb light, which allows you to light your path. double jump which allows you to jump in the air. You unlock these skills by getting skill points from completing runs. each core will award a pre determined amount of skill points based on how hard the core is.Â
Map Shop
The map shop allows you to re-role the generated map to suit the diffaculty you want. want to get more skill points? want to get more money? want a faster run? Re-role and cross your fingers!
Bot Shack
The bot shack is where you are able to purchase upgrades for the vary bots that are chasing you down! some might ask, why upgrade the enemy? To answer that is as simple as saying higher risk, higher reward!
