You begin your journey as a simple Viking warrior, living in a small village in the harsh North. Ahead of you lie numerous challenges and events that may elevate you to the heights of glory. By surviving feuds, raids on Frisia and England, you can lead your clan and become a powerful Jarl or even a Konung. But the choice is yours — will you pursue conquest or turn away from the path of destruction to protect peaceful lands?

Choose one of three paths and shape your destiny, unlocking one of 16 unique endings:
Viking-Conqueror: Become a fearsome but just ruler, aiming to live and thrive alongside conquered lands rather than plundering them.
Viking-Raider: Follow the path of looting and domination, with a single goal — to conquer everything and everyone.
Defender: Turn away from destruction and join the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms, protecting them from invaders.
Every decision you make determines not only your destiny but also the future of kingdoms, nations, and the entire era. Which path will you choose?

The story begins in 849 AD and covers the events of the first campaign of the "Great Heathen Army" in 850 AD to Kent and Mercia, where you can rewrite the outcome of this invasion and the fate of England itself.
