Play as Rowan, a young sailor from the harbour town of Lanternholm. When Murkfin corsairs raid the festival of the crabs, they carry off your neighbours and crack the lamp whose light keeps that hunger sealed. Take your mother's old skiff out past the reef and set out to bring them home.
In this cel-shaded action-adventure, sail an open sea, explore islands, delve into puzzle-filled dungeons, earn tools that open new paths, and battle corsairs and creatures of the deep. Overview
Generations ago, the people of the Deep fled a frozen world into the Vaultmere, and two great crabs climbed onto its cavernous ceiling to carry light across it, the sun crab, Old Solgrim, and the moon crab, Mother Nacre. Beneath the sea, a legendary captain sealed away Vorrakh, the Lightless Maw. Now the Murkfin corsairs and their masters believe whoever controls the dark will rule the sea and all of the Vaultmere, and they mean to set it free.
In Lanternholm on Crossing Day, as the town gathers for its yearly festival to celebrate the arrival of the crabs, trouble sails in out of the dark. Venture out by sail, earn the tools that open new paths, chart a sea of islands, and plumb the black waters, each with its own people and secrets.
To defeat the enemies of the light, gather allies, equipment, and the courage it takes to face the Lightless Maw before its darkness devours the Vaultmere.
