The HXD1 is a high-power electric heavy freight unit created by Siemens and the CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive company. Based on the Eurosprinter platform, this is a powerful and versatile locomotive that has played a pivotal role in China’s railway transportation system. Known for its exceptional performance and reliability it represents a new generation of electric machines designed to meet increasing demands of an expanding network. The HXD1 is often referred to as ‘Harmony’ reflecting the locomotive’s role in promoting efficiency, reduced emissions, low energy consumption, and reliable running on China’s railway system.
Built in detail for Train Simulator and ready for heavy freight running on Chinese routes the HXD1 features an authentic detailed cab with realistic controls that include in-cab displays, anti-drowsiness alarm (ADVS), automatic train protection (ATP) to monitor speed, LKJ Supervision systems to prevent wheel slip, cruise control, in-cab signalling and more.
Included with this pack are a selection of freight wagons. The C62 multi-purpose gondola, P54 freight box car, NX70A freight wagons (loaded and unloaded) and three types of G60K light oil tanker. These are used in the various scenarios included with the locomotive for the South West China High Speed and Longhai Railway: Lingbao – Mianchi routes.
