AT&SF Scenario Pack 01 features ten career scenarios that deliver dramatic Western railroading as Santa Fe trains answer the challenges of climbing the grades of Colorado’s and New Mexico’s legendary Raton Pass and hustling across the vastness of the Arizona Divide.
With AT&SF Scenario Pack 01, you’ll take the throttle of five types of classic AT&SF diesel power – the Electro-Motive F3, F7, GP7, and GP35, plus the unique General Electric U28CG – and serve as engineer on trains as varied as the luxurious El Capitan, ponderous coal trains and fast-paced mail trains and manifest freights. And you’ll work across the lengths of two popular Train Simulation Classic routes – the Raton Pass: Trinidad - Raton Route and the Arizona Divide: Winslow - Williams Route as masterfully created by Milepost Simulations (routes available separately).
With AT&SF Scenario Pack 01, you will:
- Climb aboard Santa Fe’s legendary and world-famous red-and-silver “Warbonnet” Electro-Motive F3s to usher the magnificent hi-level El Capitan westbound across snowy Raton Pass on Christmas Eve.
- On a long summer day, take the throttle of the eastbound El Capitan’s Warbonnet-clad EMD F3s as the beautiful streamliner makes the challenging run from Raton New Mexico to Trinidad, Colorado.
- In a two-part scenario set in the 1950s, hustle a AT&SF manifest freight which originated in Phoenix across the length of the Arizona Divide and, with a trio of Zebra-stripe EMD Geeps, handle switching en route.
- Accept the task of climbing and descending the 3 percent grades of Raton Pass at the controls of the ponderous York Canyon coal train. You’ll have ten diesels placed on the head and rear of “YK Coal,” with a pair of AT&SF silver-and-red GE U28CGs reassigned to freight service on the point.
- Call upon the power and versatility of Santa Fe’s handsome blue-and-yellow EMD GP35s in multiple scenarios, including challenging switching work at East Flagstaff on the Arizona Divide and powering AT&SF Train 723 up and over a rainy Raton Pass.
- Recall and experience classic 1960s Santa Fe freight railroading as you operate a set of AT&SF blue-and-yellow F7 “covered wagons” westbound on the Arizona Divide and handle some switching work en route.
- With the winter holidays in full swing, you’ll take the throttle of a second section of Santa Fe’s famed Train 7 – the “Fast Mail” – powered by steam-generator-equipped EMD GP7s making a fast nocturnal run across the snow-dressed Arizona Divide.
