Seven games leave PS Plus Extra and Premium on September 15

Seven games drop out of the PS Plus catalogue on September 15, and two of them turn up as paid re-releases four weeks later. Extra and Premium both take a hit, and the role playing shelf takes most of it.

The date itself is routine. September's additions land the same Tuesday, so Sony clears the shelf first. Call it four weeks of notice.

Persona 5 Tactica and all three Shadowruns

Persona 5 Tactica joined Extra on September 16, 2025, which makes this a neat one year stay. It's the grid based spin-off where the Phantom Thieves fight in turns, and it's a lot goofier than the game it came from. Thirty-odd hours, give or take. If you only rescue one thing off this list, make it that one.

The bigger loss for me is Shadowrun Trilogy, which pulls Shadowrun Returns, Dragonfall Director's Cut and Hong Kong Extended Edition out in one go. Harebrained Schemes built them for PC and Paradox Interactive brought the set to consoles in June 2022. Cyberpunk with elves and dragons, turn based, and heavy on reading. You'll know inside an hour whether that's your thing.

EA Sports Madden NFL 26 going is the least surprising item here. Madden NFL 27 arrived on August 13. The old one has done its season.

Toy Story leaves the subscription, then shows up with a price tag

Premium drops Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, the 1999 PlayStation one, plus Toy Story 3. Then October 15 rolls around and both are back as products. Toy Story: Retro Roundup! and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition hit PlayStation 5 that day, handled by Digital Eclipse, the studio that restores old games for a living. Retro Roundup packs in five of them, Toy Story Racer and A Bug's Life among the lot. Nobody has said the two dates are connected. Nobody has to.
